Covers of songs are usually made better when there’s a full band. Luckily, for this performance of Dusty Springfield’s “Son of a Preacher Man,” we had a full setup in the studio.
Ayla Tesler-Mabe sings back up and plays guitar alongside her band Ludic who lay down the bass and drums. Lisa Witt, who you may know from Pianote, joined to play the piano (of course) and sing main vocals.
It’s always enjoyable to watch talented musicians play music together, because like in this case, it’s easy to tell they’re all having a great time! Plus, all of you guitarists out wouldn’t want to miss out on the guitar solo that’s halfway through this video, right?
