Almost all music is built using major or minor chords. This is because they fundamentally give a song its overall feeling and emotion. Therefore, knowing how to use major and minor chords is pivotal in connecting with an audience when writing a chord progression or even playing a solo.

But can you tell the difference?

In this lesson, I’m going to show you what makes a chord major or minor, how to build them using the power of the triad, and then test your ear and watch your progression.

BONUS: Once you’ve discovered how to point out a major or minor sounding chord, you’ll see how easy it is to hear the difference when listening to scales as well.
